A Bartender Competition With A Twist

What is the Tahona Society Competition ?
The Tahona Society Competition is a global program that is pioneering change in the way brands support their communities. It’s a completely new approach to bartender competitions because it encourages you and our familia of bartenders around the world to make the industry more sustainable.
This game changing project reflects how Altos Tequila cares for our people and our planet, and is the next step in the Tahona Society’s mission to spread knowledge among our bartenders and push the boundaries towards a better industry for all.
But in essence…
How does it work?
• The recruitment process will begin in October of 2022. Local events will be announced on the Tahona Society social media accounts.
• To participate, inform your local Pernod Ricard contact, our team of global ambassadors or your local Altos tequila ambassador if available.
During the event, our team of global brand ambassadors will give you the link to the online application format. You can apply in teams or individually.
• Local winners will be selected by Agenda28, an award-winning impact design firm originally created at the Harvard Innovation Labs and based in NYC and Mexico City.
• From March 22 to June 22, the finalists—together with Agenda28—will undergo a coaching process. Experts review the strengths and weaknesses of each project, and assist contestants with helpful tips for a business plan as well as communication and presentation strategies, in order to maximize their chance to win.
• This coaching process involves completing homework and online activities.
• The process will be carried out through digital interviews that will be scheduled by the Tahona Society team and will, of course, take into account our finalists’ busy lifestyles.
During the Global Finals in Mexico, which will take place in June of 2023, finalists and judges will have time to rehearse their presentations and do minor last-minute modifications of their proposals.
• Only one person per project will attend The Tahona Society Global Finals, even if the project has been proposed by a team of people.
Projects are contending to win a $50,000 USD scholarship.
