Welfare Series Book No. 7: Curbing Waste
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do here at Altos. This includes the community-based projects that we support, the practices that we promote, and perhaps most importantly, sustaining the people who make us who we are.
That is why our WE CARE programs focus on our bartender community. Weโve got your back, and we are always looking for ways to be there for you.
While you come first, in this edition we want to highlight practices to help you work (cook, eat) and live more sustainably. Learn what to do with those broccoli stems, to root for ugly fruit and veg and to make drinks from trash, but also see how rearranging your fridgeโ and leaving some foods out of it can also help keep food fresh for longer. Then, get inspired by industry leaders in the field of food waste and emissions. Change starts at home, with little steps that have an impact.

Because really, what bonds a team more than constantly hearing, โso what is your real job?โ, while youโre at your real job?

Weโve earned a reputation at Altosโfor
our focus on sustainability. It starts with
the way we produce our tequilas. But we
take it out of the distillery, in everything
from sustainable waste management to the
projects we roll out in communities.
