Christmas and New Year’s are just around the corner! It’s time to toast to this quickly fleeting 2019.
This year’s holiday cocktail trends are all about classic cocktails with an added, crafted twist. Fresh, high quality ingredients bring that extra touch of heat to warm our bodies and souls during the winter.
The festive colors and flavors of cinnamon and red bitters that you will find in some of these cocktails will kindle nostalgia, warmth, and magic. Other drink creations combine Altos Tequila with vermouth, giving life to exciting combinations as we prepare to celebrate with some irresistible bubbles.

Hot Paloma
Ingredients: • 1 1⁄2 oz Tequila Altos Reposado • 1 oz Fresh lime juice• 1⁄2 oz Triple sec • 1⁄2 oz Agave syrup • 2 Jalapeño coins (seeds removed) Method: •At the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño coins with agave syrup. • Pour the remaining ingredients into shaker, fill with ice, and shake until chilled. • Strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass filled with fresh ice. • Garnish with a lime wedge. |
Palomette
Ingredients: • 40 ml / 1 1/3 parts Altos Plata • 20 ml / 2/3 part Grapefruit Licquor (Pamplemousse) • 10 ml / 1/3 Fresh Lemon Juice • Top with Mumm Rosé Method: •Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. •Shake. Serve into a coupette. •Garnish with grapefruit twist. 30ml = 1oz |
Better Together
Ingredients: • 30 ml / 1 part Altos Reposado • 10ml / 1⁄3 part Aperol • 25ml / 5⁄6 part fresh lime juice • 15ml / 1⁄2 part vanilla infused Earl Grey syrup* • Mumm Champagne Method: Build ingredients in a shaker, shake, and fine strain, serve in a champagne flute and top with Mumm champagne. 30ml = 1oz |
Pacific Standard
Ingredients: • 45 ml / 1 1⁄2 partsAltos Plata • 30 ml / 1 part Aperol • 23 ml / 3⁄4 part Carpano Antika • A barspoon of Green Chartreuse Method: Build ingredients in a stirring glass, stir, serve up with a flamed orange peel in a coupete. 30ml = 1oz |
Mexican Negroni (Bottled)
Ingredients: • 250ml / 1 part Altos Plata • 250ml / 1 part Campari • 250ml / 1 Part Red Sweet Vermouth Method: Build ingredients in a stirring glass, stir with cubed or rock ice in an old fashioned. Garnish with an orange slice. 30ml = 1oz |
Feliz Martini
Ingredients: • 60 ml / 2 parts Altos Plata • 15 ml / 1⁄2 part Cocchi Americano • Amontillado sherry 3 dashes Method: Build ingredients in a stirring glass, stir, and strain. No ice, serve in a coupete. No Garnish. 30ml = 1oz |
Jalisco Añejo Sazerac
Ingredients: • 60ml / 2 parts Altos Añejo • 15ml / 1⁄2 part agave syrup • 3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters • 5 ml / 1 barspoon Pernod Absinthe Method: Rinse a chilled Old Fashioned Glass with Pernod Absinthe, set it aside. In a mixing glass, add the Altos Reposado, agave syrup, and bitters. Stir with ice. Discard the Pernod Absinthe and pour the Altos Reposado mix in the Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. 30ml = 1oz |
Altos Añejo Manhattan
Ingredients: • 60ml / 2 parts Altos Añejo • 30ml / 1 part red vermouth • 2 dashes of grapefruit Method: Stir over ice, strain into a chilled cocktail or coupette glass. Garnish with an orange twist. 30ml = 1oz |
Spiced Old Fashion
Ingredients: • 60ml / 2 parts Altos Reposado • 5 ml / 1/6 part agave syrup • 2 dashes of chipotle bitters or any smoked chili or a mix of half smoked chili and half chocolate mole bitters Method: In an old fashioned glass, stir the agave syrup and the bitters. Add Altos Reposado and fill with ice. Stir. Squeeze a grapefruit twist on top.You can also use a stirring glass. Dissolve the bitters with the agave syrup and half the mesure of tequila. Add ice, stir. Then add the remaining ounce of tequila and stir again. Serve in an old fashioned glass and squeeze a grapefruit twist on top. 30ml = 1oz |
Hernández
Ingredients: • 50ml / 2 parts Altos Plata • 30ml / 1 part red vermouth • 25ml / 1 part agave syrup • 5 ml / 1 barspoon maraschino liqueur • 2 Dashes of Angostura bitters Method: Stir all ingredients over ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist. 30ml = 1oz |
Paloma Royale
Ingredients: • 50 ml / 1 2/3 parts Altos Plata • 25 ml / 1 part Fresh Lemon Juice • 15 ml / 1/2 part Agave Syrup 1/1 • 30 ml / 1 part Fresh Grapefruit Juice • 30 ml / 1 part Mumm Brut Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake. Serve into a tall glass. Top with Mumm Brut. Garnish with grapefruit slice and rosemary twig. 30ml = 1oz |
